- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional, for depth of flavor)
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup water or beef broth
For the Stir-Fry:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)
- 1 large onion, sliced into strips
- 1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced into strips
- 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2-3 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Cooked rice (for serving)
